Speaking to the Journalism 1 students in the early hours of Monday April 29, the president of the students governing body ASEC presented the committee charged with organising the end of year gala night at the Advanced School of Mass Communication.
The student governing body ASEC has put in place a committee, charged with organising the ASMAC Gala Night dubbed ASMAC GLAM, which is scheduled to take place on July 6 2019 at the ASMAC campus. It will mark an end to the 2018/2019 academic year.
Speaking in the Journalism level 1 hall, the president of ASEC MBALLA EFFA Janvier presented the committee members, and called on the students to all be there.
He added that this gala night will be an excellent opportunity for the students to have fun and relax after a tough academic year.
The head of the protocol commission Miss Pamela NGONO, used this opportunity to call on students interested to be hostesses for the event, to make sure they fill a form that will be sent to their classes in the days ahead, and castings will later follow suit.
She also insisted that for fairness and diversity, each class will only have two students maximum.
She continued with the necessary requirements to qualify as a hostess which are to be between the ages 18 and 28, to be perfectly bilingual, and to be in good health mentally and physically.
The student’s president concluded by encouraging the students not to miss this for it will be a night to remember as prizes will be awarded to the best student, best class delegate, best class president, best dresser, cleanest class and so on.
This gala night will also see for the first time the election of a Miss ASMAC, who will in addition to the president of the student’s union represent the school to the rest of the outside world.
