The Director’s Cup is an annual event usually organised by the Association of Students in Communication, Asec- Esstic.
Prior to this competition, a selection meeting for participating teams was held in the Journalism 2 hall on December 22nd 2021. Two poles including all the fields of the school, Masters students and teachers have been fixed for the matches.
Pole A consists of Journalism, Masters and Editing while pole B is made up of Cooperate Communication, Teachers and Documentary information. To most students, the time period for the Director’s Cup is convenient for them as they would have finished with the resit examination by then.
As the preparations gradually pick up steam, the Red Cross club of the school has planned to play part as well. According to the Secretary General of the ASMAC Red Cross, EBOT Cynthia TAKANG, the club will be actively involved.
She says they have as task to take care of accidents and injured cases that might be recorded in the stadium during the football matches. They shall also maintain hygiene and sanitation throughout the competition in the stadium.
Volunteers will be dispatched in groups and First Aid equipment will be made available by ASEC. Preparatory meetings are planned in the days ahead.
