The Douala International Airport benefits from solar energy source funded by the EU as part of the International Civil Aviation Organization program (OACI).
This energy source covers a surface area of 13.000m2 and it will be installed by the Aeiroports Cameroon (Adc), by October 2018.
The solar capacity is one megawatt, build by a French company Sagecom in order to reduce Carbon footprint one of the program initiated by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Cameroon News Today discovered that, away from the Douala port four other airports will as well benefit from this carbon reduction program
There is the Port of Spain and Tobago, Mombasa airport in Kenya, and the Kingston and Montego airports in Jamiaca.
