The Paris Saint Germain striker Kylian Mbappé (PSG) has tested positive to the covid-19 virus. The information was rendered public on September 7 by the Union of European Football Association (UEFA).
Kylian Mbappé is the 7th player of Paris Saint Germain (PSG) to have been tested positive to the coronavirus also confirmed by the French Football Federation (FFF) this Monday after a training session with his club members.
His last test carried out by the UEFA was prior to the game against Sweden on September 02 in which he tested negative.
The French footballer together and other players also tested positive will no longer play for the ‘‘Bleus’’ in their forthcoming Nations League fixture against Croatia scheduled this Tuesday 08, 2020 in Paris at the Stade de France.
As a result, the players have been isolated from the national squad thereby sitting out of PSG’s ligue 1 fixture against Lens and Marseille this week.
Last week, cases have been picked up by the club’s pre-season testing after some returned from vacation in Ibiza, Spain. Among them are; Neymar, Mauro Icardi, Angel Di Maria, Leandro Parides, Keylor Navas and Marquintos.
Thus, covid-19 tests will continue to be carried in the different clubs in a bid to fight this pandemic within the football milieu.
