Albinism is an aspect in the society which is fragile especially as it concerns human beings. Indeed, albinism is a congenital disorder characterized in humans by the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes.
In the Cameroonian context, albinos are considered as a category of people and are very stigmatized. They suffer from injustice and negative regards, consideration from the society. All this encouraged Marie Gabrielle to organize the event miss and mister albinos.
This event has as objective to valorise albinos and help them be more considered in the society. In addition, this competition is done to help Cameroonian albinos feel more confident and not ashamed of what they are.
The first edition of this event was in 2019. Its second edition is getting ready as Marie Gabrielle, member of the organization committee is actually doing a media tour announcing the second edition.
