The new comic book known as “Sobajo”, is a serie project created by Cyrille Masso, producer of the serie “Adamu et Goni”.
Launched in 2020, Cyrille Masso in collaboration with Malo pictures created this comic book so as to fight against depraved ideologies in the Cameroonian society.
The project lasts for 15 months and this will end on the month of March. Indeed the comic book “Sobajo” (which means “friend” in the fulfuldé ethnical language) talks about an ex-militant and his wife who combat to reinsert themselves in their community.
The story focuses too on young men and women subjected to daily frustrations. The serie “Adamu et Goni” was adapted as a comic book so as to gain more visibility and adapt themselves to the youths. “Youths nowadays love to read and see more interested in comic books. Thus, we had to get closer to them via this comic book” says Cyrille Masso.
Financed by the United States of America embassy in Cameroon, the comic book will focus most importantly on promoting a forgiveness and tolerance mentality especially to youths aged between 11-15 years in the Far North of Cameroon.
