The 237Campus.Com Media Group has elected a Staff Delegate, in the person of BONTE Modest NKOUE. This took place on Friday April 26th during a working session held at the Restaurant of the Advance School of Mass Communication ASMAC.
The two hour long working session chaired by the Chief Executive Officer of the 237Campus Media Group Boris Landry KOUEKAM focused on a brief reflection on the ground covered by the media organ since its coming to existence some two months ago.
Boris KOUEKAM reminded his collaborators and insisted on the need for collaboration and more efforts to achieve the dream of succeeding to become the biggest all student’s news websites in Cameroon by covering all higher institutions in the country.
Boris also highlighted the group’s dream of launching a newspaper version of the now online group to be named ‘’L’Etudiant’’.
The climax of Friday’s working session was the organization of a debate which facilitated the election of a staff delegate of 237Campus.Com.
The debate that saw the participation of three candidates contesting for the post of staff delegate was moderated by Serge Moise, level 1 Corporate Communications student in ASMAC.
Bony De Dasse Montessori, Emini Andela Coralie and BONTE Modest NKOUE all debated on questions relating to the duties and responsibilities of a staff representative and their various reasons for choosing to be elected for the job.
In the highly contested debate accompanied by series of applause from participating collaborators, all 3 highlighted the need to help solve problems faced by 237Campus.com staff while maintain a good relationship and being able to ensure collaborators carry on despite stress.
The election organized minutes after the debate gave the lone male candidate BONTE Modest NKOUE recording an overwhelming victory.
Speaking after the declaration of the result, NKOUE Modest expressed joy and gratitude for the confidence bestowed on him and promised to work hard to meet the challenges that go with the high task.
EMINI Coralie, one of the female candidates declared her disappointed about the outcome but said she hope the winner of the day will be the best for the group.
She insisted she preferred winning for it could have been a way for the media organ to promote the act of women holding leadership position in a male dominate one like Cameroon.
