In an interview granted CNT, the young tech lover presents his electric car made with 70% of local materials and presents his vision of the future of the Cameroonian motor industry.

Its true its quite surprising but its real. Michel Ange Takodjou Cameroonian student of the polytechnic of the University of Maroua in the department of renewable energies and ex higher institute of Sahel will in the days ahead present an electric vehicle to the Cameroonian public.

The vehicle is entirely built with home base material which is the major difference with other made vehicles. However he attests that in the system’s car only the traction parts of the motors battery and controllers are imported.

A rare made is being produced from recycled parts coming from damaged vehicles like chairs. For the electrical engineer, the project is not a personal affair since he got a host of friends whom together are working closely. They indulge in motor mechanics, hence all using their skills to realize the project.

He forged ahead to explain that it is an electric urban car; that uses an electric motor with power electronics systems to convert the energy stored in batteries into mechanical energy to move the car it can be charged on a classic electrical socket.

The project is funded by him alone.

There were however many errors which were corrected and hence beefing up the cost of realization; thus giving a price as of now won’t be appropriate but will rather do so at the end of the project.

At this stage their plight is for government to provide the necessary aid or assistance to help them realize their dream/with this astonishing invention his take home message for the youths is for them to believe in their dreams and be engaged in more practical sessions to perfect their skills and show to their country and the world what that have to offer hence a showcase of brilliance comes assistance and awards
