For the second time, the Advanced School of Mass Communication (Asmac) joins the University of Yaounde II, Soa for the march past.
Fifty students in all will represent Asmac on February 11. These students are coming from all the different fields of the communication school. They are already engaged in rehearsals.
The tradition does not change. Asmac being under the coordination of the University of Yaounde II, Soa will see her students march again with those of Yaounde II, Soa and her schools.
Prior to the event, Asmac students taking part in the feast received their uniforms last Friday, 07 February 2020. The uniforms were handed over by the Academic affairs commission of Asmac students’ bureau dubbed Asec.
According to the commission’s leader, Gabrielle Larissa Tchabet of Advertisement level 2, the uniforms were given early in order for students to measure them and see if they fit.
Conscious of the difficulty to meet due to the various upcoming public holidays, a WhatsApp forum has been created, with challenges and ideas being discussed.
The objective is to assure the readiness of Asmac’s students and their efficient participation. The wage amount reserved for each student remains unknown. Last year, 20 students of the school took part at the 11th February and 20th May march past.
